Comic Strip Layout and Design
Design Objective:
Design a comic book page layout using original characters to explore visual storytelling through composition, pacing, and panel structure. This project focuses on guiding the readers eye, conveying emotion, and creating narrative flow through intentional layout choices. The goal is to strengthen storytelling skills while developing a cohesive and engaging comic page design.
Design Brief:
This piece demonstrates my ability to manage complex visual storytelling through a radial 'X-frame' layout, which centers on a primary narrative event while simultaneously showcasing diverse character reactions. By combining a bold complementary color palette with consistent rim lighting and varied textual rendering, I created a unified, high-energy atmosphere that emphasizes both individual character depth and grand narrative scale.
